Change an order’s delivery date

Open the order in Shopify and choose More actions → Change delivery date, or use Change a delivery date in the app and enter the order number.

Pick the new date. If it’s one a customer couldn’t choose (full, blocked or too soon), the app tells you why and asks you to confirm. You know your operation best, so you can still use it. Past dates can’t be chosen.

One change updates everything the date drives: the order’s tag, its “Delivery date”, its “Fulfill by” date, and the counts for both days. It also clears the order’s flags, including ND-Date moved. The change is recorded in the app. Your customer isn’t emailed, so let them know.

Flagged orders

Home shows a banner when orders need your attention, with a link to them in Shopify:

What happened

Orders due sooner than your cutoff allows

ND-Late for cut-off

The order’s date leaves less time than your cutoff allows, usually because it came in after the cutoff or a date was changed later. Fulfil it as soon as you can, or let the customer know.

Orders moved to a new delivery date

ND-Date moved

The customer’s date couldn’t be kept (it had passed, wasn’t a delivery day, or was blocked or full), so Dalbie Dates moved the order to the next day you can deliver. Home shows the date they chose and why. Let the customer know, or choose another date.

Orders over a product’s daily limit

ND-Over product limit

The order wanted more units than were left for its date, for example two customers paying for the last few at once. The customer keeps their date.

Orders that need a delivery date

ND-Needs delivery date

The calendar couldn’t load when the customer checked out, so they ordered without a date. Give it one with Change delivery date; the flag clears itself.
